I turn it off during installation, i put a # in front of 127.0.0.1 services.altn.com. Before installing i stop all services, Mdaemon, Webadmin and IIS (IIS uses some files that can't be upgraded when in use, Mdcalendar.dll for instance) then request a new serial using a temp e-mail adress and after installation i run Mdaemon once. Then stop the service again, overwrite the files with Thaiminans files. After that you can startup Mdaemon, Webadmin and IIS again.
