Because version 18 has AV and Connector build in upgrading is a bit tricky. It could work with an old serial but i myself got a new one using a temp email adress. License.xml should contain <Active>1</Active> <Trial>0</Trial> <Beta>0</Beta> <Device>0</Device> <Data>1</Data> for MD license And <Active>1</Active> <Trial>0</Trial> <Beta>0</Beta> For the other licenses. If you run Worldclient and Remote Admin using IIS shut IIS down before upgrading otherwise some files are in use and won't be upgraded.

hosts file shoud have access to altn while installing/upgrading, when you have a new key, run Mdaemon first after installing (it has a 30 day trial), doesn't matter if plugins say they are not activated. After that block services.altn.com again and overwrite the Mdaemon files using Thaiminhan's files. Then edit license.xml and run Mdaemon, check if everything is working correctly.
One think that i didn't do...was install with the block services.altn.com and /S silent....did not get a new key...so what is the key ingredient was it license_request, and License_response, license file all matching up...or license file is all matters..
For version 18 i think it's better to install without /s , then you can request a new key (using a temp mail adress) for Mdaemon. Install without blocking services.altn.com! When i did that the keys for AV, Connector and Active sync weren't valid anymore but editting <trial>0</trial> and <active>1</active> in licenese.xml fixed that for me. Didn't touch license_request and License_response or any other file, maybe i was lucky, maybe it isn't needed anymore. After installing and editting license.xml you can block services.altn.com again, overwrite original files and run Mdaemon Future version 18 updates should be able to be installed with /s, then you don't need a new key and won't be checked if the old key is valid or not. You can even keep services.altn.com blocked in HOSTS.

They all have their own keys. When running mdaemon there is a popup about a registration form, you can ignore that Basicly the MO is : remove any blocks, stop IIS if you run worldclient through IIS Instal Mdaemon and request a new key Run Mdaemon and close it down again Install Thaiminhans files and edit license.xml Then run Mdaemon again and check if everything is OK and activated in Mdaemon>Help>Register your Mdaemon software Start IIS up if you use that
